Flua

Your paragliding logbook

Features

Upload your igc files to view flight statistics including graphs and a logbook on a per year basis. Flua incorporates the following features.

Flight graph

The flight graph lets you see how many flights you did per month in a given year

It is calculated by the amount of files you upload

You may click on a specific month to filter for said month only

Flights

64

Airtime graph

The airtime graph lets you see how much time you spent in the air per month in a given year

It is calculated by the duration between the first and last data point per file

You may click on a specific month to filter for said month only

Airtime

128h

Altitude graph

The altitude graph lets you see how much time you spent at or above certain altitudes in a given year

It is calculated by the duration of gps altitude data points

5.1h

Thermal graph

The thermal graph lets you see how much time you spent at or above certain climb rates in a given year

It is calculated by the duration of isa altitude data points which are rising and while the heading is changing at least 120 degrees in a timespan of 10 seconds

Thermal

Speed graph

The speed graph lets you see how much time you spent at or above certain speeds in a given year

It is calculated by the distance of individual gps latitude and longitude data points

Speed

Glide graph

The glide graph lets you see how much time you spent at or above certain glide ratios in a given year

It is calculated by the speed of gps latitude and longitude and sink rate of isa altitude data points which are sinking and while the heading is changing no more than 60 degrees in a timespan of 10 seconds

Sharing

When you signup, by default, your statistics page is only visible to you. If you like, you may make it public in order to show it to your flying buddies. The rule is that any public profile can be viewed by anybody, as long as they know your username.

Privacy

We do not upload your whole flight data. Instead, analysis is happening on your device and the key statistics are sent to our server. This way, your flight data remains truly yours, while you enjoy your marvellous hobby, that is free flight.

Motivation

Why does this exist? Well, you see, someone wanted a very simple way of displaying how many flights and how much airtime he spent in a given year. Also, there was some curiosity to finally learn the c programming language, and a couple hundred segmentation faults later, here we are.

Github

Found a bug? Do not let it fly away. If you like, head over to the github repository and report an issue. By doing, so you may spare yourself or others some growing pain.
